Joe McIntyre, also known as the youngest member of the group, was also the last to join the group in late 1985. He was a boy from a different part of Boston, known as Jamaica Plains, and to the guys he was different. He was only 12 years old when he joined, and the other guys were already in their mid to late teens, so from the start he was unique. He had this incredible knack for hitting those high pitched sounds that only Jordan could do, but even he could not hit them the way Joe could. Joe was a nature and Maurice thought he was perfect when he heard about him, through a small community theater. But when Joe joined he was about to find out what fame was all about. Joe not only being the youngest had to go through some serious growing up in order to fit in. He was still in school when the group finally became famous and Joe had to juggle school work and being on the road. But in the end Joe got through school and had a bash to celebrate with family and friends. After dealing with school and making it through it was time to go on with life on the road and the obstacles the group might have to face. Through it all he was able to not only become a great musician in his own right but a fine actor. Joe starred in the Hit Broadway show made into a movie "The Fantasticks" and even though it never got star recognition it was still a very good movie. He was in the hit Broadway show "Tick, Tick, Boom" as the lead Jonathan Larson. He is now currently on the hit Fox show "Boston Public" as the very handsome English teacher Colin Flynn. But since his departure from the group in 1994, Joe has released his solo-debut album "Stay the Same" in 1999, his second album "Meet Joe Mac", and his third album "One Too Many" with friend, co-writer, and music director Emanuel "Eman" Kiriakou.
